I’ve been going to KK Massage for several years and have generally had positive experiences, which makes writing this review disappointing. Unfortunately, today’s visit will be my last. I specifically requested a deep tissue massage, but the pressure never came close to what I would consider deep tissue. I asked the masseuse multiple times to apply more pressure and to focus on certain areas, but my requests were largely dismissed. She also suggested cupping because of how tight my muscles were. I agreed, although somewhat reluctantly, but even then I asked for more suction/pressure and again my concerns were ignored. To make matters worse, the massage itself felt very interrupted because the masseuse repeatedly left the room — approximately 6–7 times during the session. It made it difficult to relax and felt unprofessional. When it came time to pay, I reduced the tip because I was dissatisfied with the service. The woman at the register told me I needed to leave a larger tip because deep tissue massages require a lot of work. I explained that I was unhappy with the massage and reminded her that I’ve been a loyal customer for years, rarely complain, and normally tip well. Instead of listening to my concerns, she defended the masseuse and continued pressuring me to leave a higher tip. Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish, and unfortunately they have lost a long-time customer.
